Nabil Atassi is founder and host of Pop-Talk.de.
30 minutes of talk and music – produced in our studios in Berlin and Stuttgart, Germany – and hosted by Nabil Atassi: The PopTalk is streamed online on Pop-Talk.de or streaming services like Spotify and Soundcloud. Nabil’s guests are personalities from the world of culture: musicians, authors, actors or activists or simply interesting people. They come with their works, projects and stories. It goes deep into the talk, digs into the underground scenes and presents a lot of fresh music. Episodes called “#Jazz” [Hashtag Jazz] feature international Jazz Stars and newcomers in the show referring to Nabil’s long history as music journalist in Jazz.
With the length of 20-30 minutes, the PopTalk is designed for your [urban] way from A to B.
Nabil Atassi is a journalist, host and presenter for German public radio stations Südwestrundfunk and Norddeutscher Rundfunk and writes for several magazines and medical journals. On Iceland’s English programm “Radio Iceland” in Reykjavik he hosted the show “who is who in Icelandic Jazz” back in 2015.
He is co-founder and host of the JazzKorea Festival, worked with XJAZZ Festival in Berlin in their founding year 2014 and hosts live Festivals like Elbjazz in Hamburg.
In 2013 he was awarded with the WDR Jazz award from public radio station of Westdeutscher Rundfunk for his radio feature on the London Jazz Scene.
Nabil is a practicing physician. He lives and works in Stuttgart and Berlin, Germany.
